Can I have a family member or friend drive the rented Mobii car?
General Information
Only Mobii-approved drivers can book and drive a car during a trip. To be an “Approved Driver” this means that the user/renter has provided and updated all required documentation and Identification cards, passed Mobii’s verification process and continues to meet all Mobii requirements for booking a car, and is currently in good standing in the Mobii platform.
A Renter may request, with the host and upon due notice with Mobii, to add an additional Approved Driver for purposes of booking, provided that the additional driver other than renter meets all the requirements to book and drive a vehicle as above stated.
In booking a trip using the Mobii platform, a renter may also request from the host his/her designated driver which shall be charged separately from the vehicle, and on a daily rate as agreed upon with the host. Such request of host’s designated driver shall be considered as an Extra in the fees to be paid by the renter upon checkout or completion of booking.
The renter shall be primarily liable for all damages, accident, violation, theft, and other penalties and fees in connection thereto, which occurred or the cause of which may have transpired during or within the booking period, regardless of who drives the vehicle, except when such damage, accident, or any similar incident was caused by or due to the fault of the host’s designated driver.
